Hi, please someone help me! haha I've been on to Vodafone and Motorola and nobody has a clue!!

Basically I bought a Motorola U9 phone, and the guys in the Vodafone store hadnt a clue if the mp3 player was compatible with Mac and iTunes....I bought it anyway cause I needed a phone...

Turns out the Motorola Phone tools and the USB cable wont work on this phone with a mac and importing mp3s can only be done by bluetooth.

I borrowed my housemates Bluetooth key and tried to transfer the music.... this message comes up:

'The file transferfailed:unable to establish OBEX connection with device'

    HOW CAN I FIX THIS??

    Thanks !

buy a card reader and drag and drop the files directly onto the disk?

what memory card does a U9 use? My E2 uses SD, but most use micro-sd or mini-sd these days...

edit: you do *not* want to use bluetooth to transfer music collections... it WILL take days - on average it takes 4 minutes to transfer 1 song so 100 songs = 400 minutes! A card reader can copy those songs in 3-4 minutes normally.

a card reader costs just 3 euro shipped from the internet you know... and it will work with other cards like the ones you find in the digital camera etc.

I really cannot recommend using bluetooth to transfer songs (unless it's just one or two).

And what, do you take out your sim card while you insert the memory card into your phone or something??

Sorry...guys in techhie shops must love me, cause I haven't a clue...andI'm an ex graphic designer, HA!

If you really want to transfer songs over bluetooth, then you need to first pair the devices.

I am quite surprised that you cannot transfer files over a standard cable, it is most unusual. Then again, I am not familiar with Macs or that particular phone.

Many phones allow "hot swapping" meaning you can just take the memory card out of the slot (the phone will continue working as normal) and then stick it back in when you're finished with it. Just make sure your phone isn't using the card while you take it out (playing music that's on the card, trying to save a photo onto the card etc.)

The phone's manual should cover this to an extent too.

    Nooooo guys.

I wanna do it by bluetooth.

I have paired them but itthe transfer stops cause it says problem with OBEX connection, I just wanna know how to adjust it!The cable wont work caue you need software to do it and that software isnt for MAC, just PC.

I dont wanna but card readers or anything, just to adjust the OBEX.

    :(
