Just wondering is there any other balls on the market that would rival a Titleist prov1, especially the spin factor, which is what im looking for.

The next best ball to the Titlest Pro v1 is the Callaway tour iX IMO. The Nike TW one is okay aswell but I find it cuts up pretty easy.

Haven't tried the new iX but I didn't like the HX Tour. Didn't like the sound when coming off the putter and I found they scuffed/marked very easily.

Srixon Z-URS are ok, but not as good as the PRO-V IMO.

A good, cheap alternative to a PRO-V is the Ben Hogan Apex Tour or Hawk balls. They can be bought at a great discount on ebay and are excellent around the greens in the Summer (plenty of spin :D).

Haven't tried the new Taylor Made balls but I'm sure they're decent as well.

Another rediculous thread by Pulsar Eagle..Do something useful and create a good thread..Top Flite XL 2000 is a great ball...

    Don't really know......

I've Precept Ladies which are fairly good (they changed the name to Laddie for the men who felt insecure about their sexuality).

Maybe Maxfli Noodles as an alternative.

But if you want the best then you have to pay for it (usually).

Callaway92, Lets keep the comments on topic, if you don't like a thread don't bother replying.

Personally I find the Nike One Platinum a good alternative to pro v1, cheaper and for me at least same distance and spin. Don't find it cuts up as mentioned above either.

The Taylor Made balls are good. The Nike ones aren't bad either. The Pro-V1s beat everything else hands down though imo.

Is that not a bit unfair???

I thought it was a good topic. I'm really struggling to justify paying €50 for a box of 12 pro v1's!

Taylor Made TP Balls are good but if i was to choose one ball i have shoot the best with is the Pro V1*

horse for courses as they say.

Personally, I definitely get more greenside spin with a Nike One Platinum as opposed to a Pro V1.

I wish I could have the game that would require me to really worry about the ball I'm using - usually use a Titleist but it is a PTS or an NXT - Whatever I can afford!

I think if you're going to balance spin against price then Noodle is a good bet.

I use the taylor made tp (black) ball now. I find it almost indistinguishable from the prov1 except for being much more obviously mine because everyone else plays a titleist ;)

Think the Prov V's are overpriced and overrated myself.
Wilson True Tour, Maxfli Noodle, and Callaway Blue are all fine balls and very reasonable too.
True Tour are a beautiful ball.
