I am from the Philippines, there are packages on both satellites.I still have a valid subscription with me from my previous worksite (middle east). It should work here I think....

For reliable reception I would say you will need a 1metre dish anyway. Is it the noorsat channels?

I assume the channels on the 12711H transponder

    http://www.lyngsat.com/ab3.html

pick them up here in the midlands with a 1m dish, there not free to air but signal quality is 72% on my dreambox (using a motorised dish so wouldnt be lined up perfect)

I was going to subscribe to this service on broadband, but if it is available on sat, i might get a subscriptilon for this.

Would you mind letting me know how you get on with this?

    Many thanks

Why no luck? Prohibitive to get an Irdeto cam for the card?

The TP is easily got. I have a 60cm Zone 2 Sky dish pointed at 5W, and those channels are coming in at about 75% quality. LNB shroud is not ideal for anything west of south, so would probably get better quality if skew could be optimised for this position.

I couldnt get a signal. It could be my position (there's a bldg.on my right side).I cant put a dish more than 60cm,apartment does not allow....

This satellite is one of the highest in the sky for us in Ireland, so if you have any aspect to the south, it would have to be a fairly higher building, and fairly close for it to obscure your line-of-sight.

Did you try dishpointer.com to see how it would pan out for you? I suppose if you've already gotten NTL, and someone to fish for 5W already, you're probably not pressed on the issue.

Well, I ordered TFC via sat from Phish International in Dublin, and they are sending a Sat installer out to the wilds on Connemara shortly...
