As usual, there will be a few of us going. The first game is at 12:15. Some of us will be going in for that. So that we can go together, we are thinking of going onto Hill 16, so even if you are coming later, you can find us. Contact myself or Blackbelt by PM, or mobile if you have ours, and we can make arrangements to meet probably a bit before 12. Also post into this thread. We'll adjourn to Madigans afterwards as normal.

See you guys after the game. I am not supposed to land in Dublin until 11:45, so I will have to miss most or all of the first game :( God damn flight better not be delayed

No problem Cruiserweight. Make contact with us when you are coming in and tell us where you are. I was going to go to the stand, but as there are a few of us going on Sunday, we are thinking it would be better to go to the Hill and be together right through. So if you get a Hill ticket, contact us and you can try to find us. All this is assuming that you want to be seen with a crowd of Dubs on Hill 16. :) Failing that, we'll see you in Madigans afterwards.

I am meeting a few other people there. Don't think I would want to be seen with the plebs on the Hill anyway :p;)

    See you on Sunday :)

Well Cruiserweight, that really is a tight situation you got there.Arriving at 11:45,walk to the carousel (10mins from Pier D if you arrive at that terminal),pick up your luggage if any,get a bus/taxi (on a Sunday) and get into Croke Park.I'd say to do all that you'll do well to arrive just as the ball is being thrown in at 2pm.

My suggestion is that you don't check in luggage, run through passport control and chance sharing a taxi at the taxi rank outside arrivals.Buses are crap on a Sunday even from the airport so unless there is a gang of you or you can chance sharing a taxi,I'd take that option if I were you...which thankfully I'm not.:D

Thankfully I pulled a few strings and got the day off so I'll be in Croker at 12.Going to the Hill to make it blue for our hurlers to give them more motivation.Have a bet on with my supervisor who is a BIFFO.€10 on Wexford to beat Laois. They better not let me down or there'll be blue murder.;)

A lot of the stands get wet too. All we can do is go prepared. Will you join us afterwards Gerire? Contact us by PM if you want to.

It's wild over here alright. Showery and windy, though the showers may reduce later. Some will be put off going, but we'll be there.:)

Think were going to drive up to Maynooth and get the train on from there to Drumcondra, so should be up early enough. I've never done that before but I presume Drumcondra station will be MENTAL after the match?

I did that last sunday. There is supposed to be a 13.00 special, it never turned up. 13.35 got us (popebenny junior X2 as well) in for end of first half of Laois -v- Wexford.

I think there is a train at 12.30 ex-Maynooth it'll do you fine gets to Drumcondra for 13.05, there is also a train around 1320 direct to Connolly if you miss the 12.30 but you'll miss the throw in.

Drumcondra may be packed back but there'll be piles of room on the train, it'll have eight carraiges.

Driving up early and then heading to Malahide for the Neil Young concert afterwards, what's the story with parking now, would ideally like to be in Fairview so as to head out after the match but I'n not sure of the area so any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't park the car in Fairview even Patmac.Maybe around Marino would be better as Summerhill,Ballybough,Fairview and Drumcondra get very congested after the games with foot-traffic.If I were you,I'd arrive early and drive up the Malahide Road and park the car in Donnycarney Church car park. This is beside Parnell Park.Get the bus back into town for the game and get the bus in North Strand/Fairview when going back to your car.Alternatively you could try Clontarf Dart Station. Its after Fairview Park which would be on your right and you'll eventually come to a railway bridge after Westwood gym.The car park is on the right hand side.

Those two recommendations are on/close to the Malahide Road and its a straight run up to the Young concert.

Some guy claiming to be Kaimera met us in Madigans. He seemed to be quite a sound bloke for a moderator, so maybe it wasn't really him. ;) We put him through the mill a bit, but he just about passed the test. Whoever he was, we look forward to seeing him again. :)
