VRT on Bandit 1200

    Have a Bandit, and lookin to VRT it in Tallaght before July 1st.Is it as simple as giong up with papers and paying, or do I have to bring the bike ??


    Problem is , the bike is,nt running, and has no tax / insurance presently.

    You used to always have to bring the bike, Im not sure if theyve changed that. Id ring the office your going to.

    Yes you have to bring the bike, they're supposed to check the frame number and recorded mileage. When I brought my GPz back, the poor guy had to go across the road in the p*ssing rain with his clipboard.. at least I had wet gear on :)

    In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

    Why July 1st? There is not going to be any change to bike tax or VRT then.

    If it's off the road and on private property then afaik you do not have to VRT it.

    Thanks for that, thought they were changing it to emissions rather than CC.

    Have 4 into 2 can, and bike is a smoker !!!


    At least I have time to make bike roadworthy.
