    I was just browsing through the pictures on the random picture thread there - they are so cool.
    I've always had an interest in learning photography, my question is do you need a big expensive camera to get the types of shots in that thread or is it just a matter of learning how to use the one you've got?

    For many, it should be a matter of learning how to use what you have. It would/could depend on the photo though.

    yeah I guess you do need the talent to spot a good shot as well!
    I'd love to be that good, I think I'll look for the camera manual and start practising :)

    I tried using the macro setting but they always just come out really blurry!

    For macro - a very steady hand or a good tripod is vital.
