MMA League Round 3 '08 - Kilkenny

    The third round of the MMA League is happening in Canice's Hall Kilkenny on the 16th of August.

    The league is still the safe, fun and easy way to start Mixed Martial Arts, so whether you are a first timer, veteran or training in another art that you would like to test in this environment, then send in an application form!

    Please be aware that the weigh-ins will begin at 10am and FINISH at 11am, this is a slightly earlier time so anyone used to arriving at venues for the League later than that please take note.

    As always if anyone misses their weight its no problem moving you up or down as your actual weight dictates. As always please ensure that you are covered under your own club insurance to compete at the event. This is usually a standard benefit in Martial Arts insurance but do check with your coach.

    FightLord will have a stand at the event with all of the best MMA equipment money can buy so don't forget to bring some extra cash.

    Many of us will be sticking around after the event to sample the Kilkenny nightlife, anyone staying over - book your hotels early as Kilkenny is a major destination for Stag and Hen nights and availability can be an issue.

    Lastly, the website has not been updated yet, but the details of where to send the forms on the website Entry Form is still correct, even if it is labeled as Round 2 entry for the time being.

    Just use the entry form thats up now, I will update the site as soon as I get a chance, but the one that is up from Limerick has my address and everything you need on it so belt away.

    Looks like I'll be away for this but if I'm not a gentleman's evening in Kilkenny with a snifter of brandy, perhaps a fine cigar and good company may appeal to one's sensibilities, een if one is not competing.

    In other words I'm glad you picked Kilkenny, my second favourite town after Doolin. I will try to make sure that KO Martial Arts is well represented.
