Custom Fit - What a Difference

    Hi All

Just thought I'd share my experience at the Titleist and Cobra National Fitting Centre.

Went to my club pro to buy a new driver and he told me to go to GUI Academy to the Titleist Fitting Centre.

Went up, paid €50 for the pleasure but well worth it.

I hit 10 balls with my own driver - a Titleist D2 10.5 regular shaft.

4 went left of the middle, 3 went right and 3 were straight.

After 20 mins of trying various clubs and shafts I hit 10 straight down the middle.

Went from a 10.5 reular shaft to a 9.5 degree stiff shaft driver.

Now carrying the ball 240 yards (from 220).

Also was fitted for Irons - Titleist AP1's - 1/2 inch longer than normal, with Project X shafts.

Much different from the Titleist 775 irons I've been using.

Just thought I'd share for those of you buying new clubs - the custom fit makes all the difference.

    S

    Very interesting Slumped .
Planning on getting a new driver myself soon and will get custom fit.
We are still along way behind the states in custom fitting facilities but its improving all the time.
They say custom fitting can add up to 20 yards to your drive.
