Verbal habits.

I was recently given a lecture abot how annoying it is when I say '...what?' at the end of every sentence. I have no idea why I do it, but it grew on me. I've stopped now (so don't worry!) and I can see how goddamn annoying it must have been. I still have some pretty annoying catchphrases up my sleeve, though.

Has anyone else got some odd verbal habits?

Whenever chicks tell Pighead that he is the best lover they've ever experienced he says "I know" instead of "Thank You". Bit arrogant perhaps.

Like most Cork people, the words "shur" "like" and "y'know" are spewn regularly from my mouth.
    Shur y'know yerself like! :)

A friend of mine from Down often uses phrases with the word "So"

    e.g. "I went there, so I did."
"It was cold, so it was"

And then you edit them to try to make them less bullshitty but it doesn't work so you just leave it as it is.

People who add "no?" onto the end of a sentence. It's not only pompous, it's arrogant, no?

when I'm thinking of what next to say instead of just saying "ehhhh" I say "f**kin ehhhh".

Does this "Pighead" guy you're always talking about know that you've stolen his name to use as your screen name?

For a while I would say "actually" in every sentence.
"Actually I went home at 2", "It was quite tasty actually"

People started telling me about it and I stopped, actually I didn't :pac:

one of my friends does that and it drives me mad, because she sounds as if she's being patronising and "dumbing down" something to explain it in simple terms to me. i know thats not at all what she intends, and its just a habit, but still it really annoys me. she used it all the time , eg " i think we should go to the indian rather than the chinese because basically the parking is better"
