Im not sure of the type of benches IrishLifting have but I used to decline bench by lifting the end of my flat bench up and putting a block underneath it so the bench sloped down.

Not a bad idea but since I'm buying a new yolk would be as easy to get one that does it without the need for concrete blocks. I've used a short plank of 8x1 propped up at the opposite end and did decline dumbbell presses instead of barbell presses but it's time to move on.

Send Mickk a pm and ask him if he can order in what you want , I think it says on his website some where that he can find hard to get stuff :D

I have that Powertec bench but without the rack and it does decline. It also has a fitting at the front for a leg attachment. Good solid bench.

Thanks Crotalus, Will do that if I can find no supplier.

Jester where did you get the bench? how much was it? ..oh I see now you're in Hamburg never mind then

That site on the link says they cannot deal with overseas orders and anyway I'd rather buy it in

These guys do powertec gear; http://www.vjhomefitness.com/

From my experience it's alot more solid than I've seen from other suppliers.

Thanks Hanley but they don't seem to have any 'normal' benches, they are those ones with the attachments for pressing not free weights.

I got mine direct from MegaFitness they also have an ebay store which can be cheaper but might not have everything you want.

Their main site seems to be down at the moment but I think they do deliveries within Europe.

Edit: Site is back up, looks like they only do deliveries to Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

If you're in Dublin you can go out to their store in Blanchardstown. It's a while since I was there but they had a fairly good selection there when I visited.

Hell even give em a phone call and tell em what you want. The website is pretty sh!t and really hard to navigate, imo.

Just gave them a ring there, they are sold out and will not have them again until August/Sept. I'll either wait or I'll try that other chap Mick? how do I get in contact with him, does he own the irish-lifting site?

unfortunately he doesn't do them just tried him there. Not to worry.

Are there any other shops in Ireland that supply this or a similar bench, even up the north.
Generally I find there seems to be a dearth of Irish shops with websites, even just an address would be useful.Or maybe i just cant use the internet properly, ill try the yellow pages.

I was actually looking to buy the exact same bench last year but couldnt find anywhere in Ireland that sells it. Found this group on the net...

    http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/

I called them and they said that they would ship to Ireland for a fairly decent price, cant remember how much exactly. I didnt actually buy it in the end, but might be worth your while giving them a call if you cant find a local supplier.
