Hiya, moved to just outside Cork city for the summer - anyone know if and where bead shops are in the city? And while we're at it, any craft stores in general?

    Cheers

Vibes and Scribes (new not old) is great - decent selection of beads, arts and crafts etc. Just up from the Opera House on the River.

There's a little shop in Paul St. Shopping centre that has knitting wool/fabric etc. but she has beads too in the corner - and generally a nice selection including wires, threads etc. Not bad pricing either and very nice staff in there.

Haven't lived in Cork now for a few years so I'm sure someone else might be able to help more!!

Oh and Joyce's shop on Prince's Street is a treasure trove :D

    Hi,

It maybe a little further a field for you but I have just opened an art and crafts supplies shop in Killarney. We have lots of beads and jewelery making accessories and we run jewelery making classes on the first Saturday of every month. Besides from beads we have a massive range of art and crafts supplies from canvas to rubber stamps, from artist oil colours to junior art sets.

Our shop is online too at www.craftyalley.com and we do next day delivery.

If you are in Killarney call in.

    Cathy
