With the longest day coming up I'd really like to try and capture midnight on longest day sky.

Weatherwise it should be clear in many parts so there sould be some grat oppoitunities for nice snaps.

Currently its 01:08 and the sky is a wonderful really dark dark blue..not black and I've no idea how to capture that!

I've a D70s and tripod and would love to capture the sky on the shortest night so any tips would be very gratefully accepted.

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

    The shortest night ??

    Camera on tripod ?

Create image. it will either be too light or.. too dark.. or RIGHT ON !!

ADJUST your camera to achieve the results you want.. 1/2 sec @ F 5.6

    Hey supercell,
Just mount your camera in a position you like and set it on matrix metering, set the iso to 100, then set the camera to aperture mode and choose a small aperture(high f no.) and this will give you a good depth of field and a slow shutter speed.
    Enjoy yourself,
    Alan
