Hey everyone - not sure if this is relevant but I've a query:

Ok - sample food intake in one day:

    Morning:
Organic porridge made with water,a small bit of honey added. OR small bowl of All Bran with a small bit of honey
    1 tea

    Mid-morning
    1 tea
1 nutty brown bread toasted with flora & a banana

    Lunch
    Spoon of red onion
    Spoon of sweetcorn
    Spoon of beetroot
1 plain chicken breast OR 2 spoons of tuna
    Some broccolli
    Small bit of cold pasta
    Bowl of soup
1 piece of brown soda bread (think it's soda bread - typical 'soupy' bread!)
    2 cups of water

    3pm
    2 pieces of fruit

    6pm
    Bowl of Special K
    1 tea

    8pm (give or take)
Usually chicken with veg or chicken stir fry OR depending on time etc might have a toasted sandwich and pick on bread sticks.hummas / brazil nuts etc
    1 tea

    10pm
    Bowl of Special K
    1 tea

So my query is the bread a bad idea, should I leave the morning toast out. And I know I eat healty (bar the alcohol at weekends and after night club fast food carnage!), but is the cereal a killer I wonder? I have to pick at food etc in the evenings....and I love Special K! ;)

Any advice would be appreicated! If it helps I'm 5ft11, 10stone 8lbs. Lost whatever muscle/slight def I had last year due to switching gyms etc. But I'm back at the gym where I want to be and totally motivated again! :)

Is it muscle you wish to g ain?If so your diet is terrible. You need FAR more protein than you're eating(almost none). At the moment you have protein in two meals out of th whole day,for muscle growth and repair you should ideally have protein with every meal.Your diet wouldnt b e particularly likely to make you fat by itself, but thats where your level of extertion in teh gym comes in.Read the stickies about gaining weight and theres various threads about diet on this forum.

how about eggs?? egg protein is the best form of protein you get. get a tub of protein powder too. plenty of good brands out nowadays.

There's a lot more protein sources than just chicken and tuna - so don't limit yourself. Beef, pork, salmon, eggs, cottage cheese, turkey etc. are all good sources too.

Its like a investment portfolio - diversify your nutrient profile for a chance of better returns while decreasing your exposure to risk.:D

I work in mokeshing roysh :p so it would be loike "Segmenting your market aka muscles, targeting and postioning, to loike satisy needs and create wants!".........the investment one liner's better though!

Had some bolied eggs at lunch, without the yolk part and chicken etc....! Will grab some maxmuscle bars, I think they called, from that place near the end of Grafton St tomor eve, and look into the powder......where to begin with the powder is beyond me though!!
