It depends on what your diet is like at the moment tbh...

I try to get in protien rich foods but due to my job and times i get to go running/work out not sure if its doing me any good hours before/after.
Would it not be best to work out/train and then "feed" your muscles soon after or even perhaps some before depending on what your doing.
If i was taking supplements/shakes or whatever it would be more convenient to be able to take them whenever suits instead of having to prepare a meal or sorting out food whereas if it was as convenient as a shake or somethingthen it would be grand.

Its hard to give advice based on the information you have provided.

If you could post what your typical daily diet and training is like it would be easier to make suggestions.

Dont know how good or bad this diet is but here it is:

    Morning
    Breakfast:1-2 Bowls Cereal(usualy Crunchy Nut Cornflakes),Banana

    Lunch: Pasta,Bolognese sauce or noodles and chicken,sandwich 1-2 times a week,chicken,cheese,coleslaw.

Dinner: Varies tbh, Spaghetti bolognese, chicken curry,Ham,cabbage, potatoes.

    Snacks in between meals:Not much really,some fruit,cereal,chocolate:o

Thats about it really dunno how helpful this is.

Workout: usually 1-2 hours running or cycling in the morning or evening.
    1 hour doing Benchwork,dumbells,abwork,maybe punchbag.

Thanks for being patient with me,not really into this kind of thing but would like to know more.

IMO your diet needs improvement. You need to look at adding protein from more wholefood sources before you look at supplements.

    Things I recommend you do:

1- Read the diet and nutrition sticky
2- Add a source of protein at breakfast
3- Ditch the crunchy nut corn flakes - theres enough sugar in em to send a diabetic into a coma.
4- Add snacks that contain protein like unroasted and unsalted nuts, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, slices of meat, yogurts etc.
5-Read the diet and nutrtion sticky!
