Anyone have one of these bad boys? I'd like to here about it if so. Cant find all that many reviews or detailed descriptions about them. I know they are NBB, which is dissapointing :( but can they be stripped down as per the real steel? No review seems to mention stripping and cleaning.

    Thanks :)

    I ordered this one:
    http://www.mainirishairsoft.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=420

Thats almost my pistol 'wants' satisfied, I have the Luger and M1911, I just need a Webley and I'll be happy.

it would depend on how it was tested
it is possaible to put butane in it and get high results but mia advertise them as 123a only so you could argue that they cant take anything else

i'd just buy the mia one personally
    saves concfusion
    whats the price difference?

Taiwanese makers HFC hit a great not with this model - took ages for it to get released - they advertised it on their webpage when in pre production and despite emails - and a fire at the factory , it took near on a whole 2 years before I got mine .

I like the full Schnellfeuer look and also with the small mag , the retro more traditional C96 look .
They now do a neat and very cheap Box Mag Shoulder stock for this . Marushin do one for theirs but its a pricey affair .
And you can get Leather Harnesses very reasonably .
I have never attempted to do a stripdown - gave mine to a competant gunsmith and he gave up - non blowback so top rail does not even move back and forth ....IF ANYONE GETS ONE .....hint hint MOTOSAM/CROPPY and can actually strip and rebuild it , I'd be very pleased .

I use Butane when I take mine down off the wall - never chrono'd mine .

I do not like the grey metallic phosphate coating - black is king . The Taiwanese makers have this grey coating on tap but its pretty hard wearing mind . Am going to recoat mine in spray and bake finish you can buy now in UK - favoured in USA , when mine gets a bit rougher .

I spent ages looking for a all metal airsoft M712 and none existed - when I saw this for the first time it didn't matter that it was non blowback . Till then there was only the abs Marushin ones , again non blowback , and very old collectibles from the past 20 years .
Following the release of the 8mm Blowback version by Marushin in again ABS , I see GunsnGuys in HK are now doing an upgraded custom version on this -blowback in METAL ........you'll need to sell the house and two dogs mind at near £700 GBP

Here ye go topper, a guide to stripping can be found near the end of the review:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055322060

Like I said though, I wouldnt recommend it, it'll test your nerves and patience, so dont say you werent warned :pac:

I have to say, after having this about a week and firing it a fair bit I'm not overly impressed. With 134a the power is pretty crappy, I put some green gas (ultrair) in it and it didnt seem much better either, it just seems 'dead', probably because its an NBB, its too quiet and not enough moving parts . Ah well, 'tis a good wall hanger non the less, I'm gonna get the shorter 15 round mag for it just to make it look like the older C96's.

No problemo ;). The only way one can learn is by taking a hands on approach! :pac:

Be really careful when taking it apart! There are 6, or possibly seven parts that are effectively 'loose' and ready to fall out. Two of these parts are spring loaded, so will fly, along with the springs! So be in a space, or area that if parts do fly you can easily track them down.

Once you begin to move the topslide the trigger mech. unit will come along with it, this can then be detached from the top slide once you have it removed. With that out of the way you can actually slide the fake bolt in and out like the real thing!! If only she were a blow back it'd so much fun!
