Would love to do this, but with the 2 mile on tuesday I'll onle be able to run one , after any fast run my legs are in a bad way for 2-3 days.

DaveH, Not being that familiar with Raheny geography, where is the CARA hall exactly. I am familiar with the Raheny Shamrock club house and with where AXA is located.

    Hi folks,
I was off line for the last day or so. The Cara Hall is actually beside the Raheny 5 Start point.
Just be aware the race is in St.Anne's Park and does not include any of the Raheny 5 course.

If you coming from City Center as you enter Raheny Village take the right when you see the Permament TSB, then take the next right. That will bring you up to Raheny Garda Station. The Garda is on the opposite side of the road about a 2-3 minute walk up the road.

Raheny GAA Club\Raheny Garda stations are good landmarks.

    cheers
    Dave

Well done to Raheny Shamrocks....again. They hosted a good race despite the conditions. The course was well marshalled and there was a great spread afterwards in Cara hall. Raheny seem to have a great club up there; well organised with plenty of volunteers working behind the scenes.

This was my first race (apart from the mini marathon) and I just enjoyed every minute of it (as did my daughter). It was run so well and everyone was just so friendly and encouraging. It will certainly be on our list of things to do next year! Also thanks to the person who shouted encouragment at everyone - oldies and all !-and seemed to be organising it.Thanks everyone.
