My apologies as I know there have been numerous threads about Lessons but again I have a specific enquiry..

Does anyone know if there any pro's around who give lessons on-course? like come around for 9 holes and play with you giving lessons on the way?

I dont feel like Im getting enough out of the lessons at the range and would enjoy a few tips for all aspects of the game in a realistic setting...

Almost every pro gives on course lessons, it's usually done over 9 holes and will cost abit extra but well worth if your pro is any good, e.g. the advice he'll give on shot and course management are worth 3/4 strokes a round for a mid handicapper.

Generally if nothing is working, either the pro isn't right for you or you're simply not putting in the work.

There are lazy pros out there who use a one size fits all approach and simply see you as money in the bank (thankfully few and far between) and personally I have compromised on suggestions to me that simply didn't work.

Secondly, if you don't put in the time you don't get the rewards. You have to work on the right things and keep working on them. It's like learning to drive, immense frustration and then suddenly it clicks and becomes natural.

My suggestion is to change Pro, explain where you feel things are going wrong and work from there. When the basics are solid perhaps an on-course lesson would benefit you much more, because they are quite expensive.

    Hope that helps.
