Hey speaking of Tk Maxx I was in there yesterday and found a really nice dress...but the colour of it was very weird though shape is great and i really want it! only 27 quid too. Did anyone ever try dying a dress or anything? I'm afraid it'll ruin the fabric or end up in patches. Its like a maroon colour - think I could…

Its like a maroon colour - think I could dye it blue? or just dye it a safe black?

Dyeing clothes is very dodgy. Black might work but it depends on the fabric. Blue definitely wouldn't work.

I have a white dress I would like to dye. How do you think that would work, I think its cotton mixed with some stretchy fabric?
Where can you buy dye these days? I know my local chemist used to sell it but dont anymore.

Maz, different types of fabric will take the dye differently - it would be two-tone
