Happened to wander past a cricket match going on in Portishead* today so figured I'd have a go at a couple of shots and see how badly I'd do compared to others that I've seen people posting up here. Not up to much though but I just have a cheap Sigma 70-300 lens so I guess this is about as good as I could have expected:

I was relatively happy to have managed to get the ball in the shot though, even if it is all a bit blurry.

*Yes, the place the band of the same name are from.

Not a bad shot, I love taking pictures at Cricket matches, can't wait for my 2.8L to come and get out and do some more.

I think I should probably have walked around to the opposite side of the pitch so that there were not all the cars in the background, but then it would have been a bunch of kids on swings instead so possibly not too much of an imporvement.

ThOnda, Portishead is in Gloucestershire. Near Bristol.

Yep, it's where they are from. Resulted in many of the towns road signs going missing in the mid 90's.

My weekend shots. I was too busy playing so took some photos of the opposition in the Super 7 tournament.
