Water Slides - The Beast

I am just back from holidays in Majorca, where I went down the water slide - The Beast (30 meters) in Western Water Park - Magaluf. I was so proud of myself, was on a high for the rest of the day.

I am 34, and was a little bit paranoid, going on all the slides there, as I didn't see any other females my age or older going on any of the really fast slides.

I would love to hear your experiences of slides and scary ones.

    thanks.

PS: has anyone been in the new water park yet in Lanzarote, largest in Europe (guess where I want to go next)...:pac::pac::pac:

I don't go on many water slides, but whenever I do, I start with a normal pair of bikini briefs, and by the time I've hit the pool at the bottom, I'm in a thong :o

And its very unladylike to be reefing one's briefs out of your bum in public! :p

I usually do the repairs to wardrobe malfunctions while still under water, before I stand up.

And ta dah, all is ok again;);)

im a complete adrenaline junkie, and ahve always loved waterslides.. been on some good ones in spain, france, and florida. some awesome rollercoasters too. at the moment im still in love with the adrenaline buzz surfing, and am saving to go skydiving sometime over the next year.

rollercoasters just terrify me, its panic attack station. I struggle with fast rides in the local funfair:(

am going to have to get over it though... have two young kids who are going to want to get on them all.

All I can see is a roller coaster flying of its tracks, and the whole thing mangled.. are they safe

Doing a skydive was the best thing I've ever done! I'm also a complete adrenaline junkie and I was on a complete high for about a week after the skydive. You will love it!

Whenever I hear of water slides I always think of a story my aunt told me.

Years ago she went on holidays to Spain with her mates and went to a water park. Her friend went down the tallest water slide and was really scared. When she got to the bottom my aunt asked her how it was. She said she was so scared she thought she'd shít herself. Then she turned around and she had shít herself!! My aunt had to tell her and cover her with a towel, and she was wearing a white bikini and everything!

Moral of the story, if you're on hols and might have a dodgy tummy due to alcohol and local food do not go on water slides!

Crumble Froo... I will watch you so a skydive, safely on the ground, but that is all!

Agreed, when you jump out of the plane its the biggest rush I have ever felt, and i'm not just talking about the wind passing you either.

A word of advice though it you have long hair make sure its very, very well tied up. I spend about 30 mins trying to comb mine out when I got down and ended up pulling about half of it out.

I cant stand water slides cos there was an incident with one when I was a child when I couldnt swim (seriously how did my parents let me on it to land in a pool when i couldnt swim??) anyway, I'll go on any rollercoasters, went on them all in florida and loved them!

I would absolutely love to sky dive, I've always wanted to do it and I dunno why I havent yet, would be a dream of mine to do it.

I am terrified of heights  so bad but I really want to do this...

    Has anyone done this??

is that where ye jump off a cliff holding onto a thing that looks like a big triangle? Do you control it yourself?

I done "The beast" a few years ago - it's aptly named! When i got to the bottom my togs were more or less off from the force.

This is what I got from the site, I presumed it would be the triange thingy but no..
Paragliding is the simplest form of human flight. A paraglider is a non-motorized, foot-launched inflatable wing. It is easy to transport, easy to launch, and easy to land. The paraglider itself is constructed of rip-stop nylon from which the pilot is suspended by sturdy kevlar lines. The pilot is clipped into a harness and oriented in a sitting position for maximum comfort.

Imperialist Spanish bunkum. Lanzarote, while part of Spain, is in Africa.

I'm the same about water slides, only my dislike comes from going to Rainbow Rapids as a kid. I just remember trying to climb up the cold, metal staircase while clutching the smelly mat.....the terror of the slide (i was only ickle) and then landing in the cold water.

Rollercoasters also scare me - but in a good way. I get a little nervous before going on them, scream in terror throughout and then afterwards am on a complete buzz.

I was in a very good water park in the Algarve. can't remember what it was called though. I'd love to go again.

I also really want to do a skydive. I was talking to a friend over the weekend who was telling me about it, said it was the best adrenaline rush he ever had and strongly advised it
