I use the campsite booklet from camping Ireland for campsites or their website http://www.camping-ireland.ie/index.html .I notice here references to other campsites which are not listed in this booklet. Are there many other campsites around the country that I'm missing out on?

It's a bit like B&B's ..there are the board failte ones and then there are hundreds others.

Camping Ireland only covers sites that are affiliated with them ...there are lots more out there.

The AlanRogers guide lists 72 sites in Ireland, Here's a link
Motorhomefacts.co.uk list quiet a few sites with some wildcamping sites too. I'm not sure if you need a subscription to view their pages but here's a screenshot of what's on offer.Attachment not found.

ONe that I found recently is one in Silver Strand in Wicklow and it seems to be the only one that takes tourers in that area.

Nice and handy to Dublin with a lovely beach.

(THere are 2 right beside each other but only one is advertised, I cant rem the name of the other one)
