New trailer for the upcoming Punisher movie. Again another reboot forgetting the original. That's the 3rd time it's happened now, innit? Anywho, looks pretty.....meh, and much more colourful than Tom Jane's one. Actually reminds me of something Joel Schumacher would have shot.

Wow, never mind "Filmed in Panavision", that looks like it was "Filmed in GLORIOUS NEON". Looks fairly píss poor, and Ray Stevenson trying to sound like a grizzled American doesn't work either.

Could be a laugh but looks inferior to the last version, which I thought was actually quite good.

I also enjoyed the first one. After seeing this trailar, I lol'd at the way its been hyped as a darker adaption. Looks more like a fairytale compared to the first one. Thomas Jane was awesome in the 2004 one, but Ray Stevenson and his awful accent looks like a huge mistep here.

Ain't gonna judge it too harshly yet.I have a funny feeling it could really surprise us all.Remember when the first Blade movie came out, it was a massive sleeper hit.I might be crazy but I kinda have a similar feeling about this, and after all , it is a bloody Punisher movie, its hardly going to win any Oscars and its a story about a psycho.I love the comics and this one looks alot closer to the comic than the last 2.

That does look like fun, loved the bit where he was hanging upside down from the chandelier shooting people. I'm a big fan of the Thomas Jane film, I count it as one of my favourite films in recent years even though it did depart substantially from the source material.

War Zone seems to be a far more faithful adaptation but I still have my doubts. Lexi Alexander is not a director I have much faith in, Green Streets was a horrible film and given that both Thomas Jane and Jonathan Hensleigh left the project due to the studio deeming their version too dark and violent I'm afraid were going to get a bloodless 90 minutes.

That trailer seemed to have very, very little to do with the punisher thats appeared in Marvel for the last 5 years ago.

Neon + punisher? Aw, come on. Missing the point some what.

    Tells me enough .
Give me dark and gritty over the cartoony crap prevalent nowadays.

The entire point to the Punisher is he is the dark and gritty character who will go where others wont because he simply has nothing left to live for.

    Wow, looks terrible.
As a Punisher fan I am deeply disappointed. So much for darker tone.

Doesn't look great but I'm still gonna see it, looks like the Skull isn't gonna be as pronounced as it is in the comics, which is lame, I want the skull logo!!

That was excellent, one of the few fan films I've seen which I genuinely like. I think the problem with the new film is that rather than appeal to an adult audience they're going to go after teenagers which ensures a higher return.

I'm telling ya, make a movie of The Cell once off starring Clint Eastwood. Gold.

I'd love to see an older Punisher. Imagine if they made a film of The End, Frank Castle in a post apocalyptic future still kicking ass in his 70s.

    grimmest ending ever

I love the punisher , and i actually loved the last movie although it needed an extra umph.
So i was really looking forward to this movie hoping it would deliver. What p1sses me off the most is the fact that Punisher has only part of costume for a Super Hero and that is the white skull. Thats all he has , so all they have to do is get it right.

But noooooooooooo . They make it so you can hardly see it. That aside he doesnt even look cool. He actually looks like Steven Segal !

Yeah he does actually. Whats so hard about getting a guy to wear a t-shirt with a skull on it under a leather jacket? Its hardly excessive neon coloured spandex.

He seems to be wearing loads of bullet proof ****...not very punisher-like.
I want to see the skull god dammit!!

The 1989 Punisher film didn't have it and that was a HUGE mistake....oh and Dolf Lungdren being naked and seeing his arse...That was a big mistake

That's actually astoundingly impressive, and seriously puts a further dampener on the potential Warzone holds even as a brainless action film by showing what it could be with a bit of effort.

the director posted on her blog today that she had no idea that the trailer was to be released so early. She didn't put it together.According to her she found it very funny because it didn't really capture the ultra vilence that is in the movie.I think there is a part where she talks about how they couldn't show exploding heads in a pg trailer.I reckon that the new flic might even out do Rambo on the olde violence scale.

I read her blog. Sounds like damage control to be honest. Exploding heads in neon colour with bad accents does not a good movie make.
Maybe I'm being too harsh. Maybe I'm wrong. God i hope so. I really want this movie to be good.

It seems the general consensis is , its bad ! im always willing to give it a chance.
I was reading on movies.ie that the last punisher film was "Horrible" i thought it was great .

But his death scene made it all worth while. I think that had the Punisher been real he would have taken Travolta out for crimes against cinema.

Make no mistake i will go see this movie in the cinema. heck i may even wear my leather jacket and skull T-shirt. I'm just gonna set my standards low. Who knows, i may end up enjoying it

The last thing he sees before he dies is a still wrapped copy of 'Battlefield Earth' tossed on the table in front of him.
