Gyms in Limerick

I'm moving up to Limerick next week and was hoping someone could recommend a gym to me. I'll be living in Raheen so ideally I'd like somewhere close to that. I'd be particularly interested in a bodybuilding gym, and also one that isn't overcrowded in the evenings (which is unlikely if it's a good gym).
    Cheers

sup.... UL is the best speced gym for bodybuilding and weight/powerlifting in my opinion( before someone starts mouthing)... with some new platforms arriving this summer too!! cant wait for that.. its busy as most fo the rugby squads train there too.. but ive only ever once found it too busy to train...depends on your training times... peak times there are busy off peak its quite

I'd imagine Ul to be quiet for the summer with all the students finished up.

Is the Quality Hotel gym any good?

What to people think of JJB?

JJB in Limerick i have heard good things about. The quality hotel gym is ****. UL gym is the best gym in the area, if you have a car then thats your best bet.

I ended up training with some pretty nice training partners when i was in Limerick, between UL and the "Golds" ( just a nick name ) on John Street. Well known bodybuilders, national team rugby player and some damn strong Oly lifters would all frequent both.

I used to triain in Olympic Gold on John street. It's an ok Gym, but not very clean. I am with JJB's now and find that this gym is excellent. Plenty of free weights and machines.

UL aint quite these days...summer may mean students gone but it also spells off season for the rugby heads...and that means time to blast the beach muscles!

I'm interested in doing some bodybuilding.

So really the options are JJB or UL. I have a car so driving there won't be an issue. What sort of price range are we talking about for both, and which is busier in the evenings.

    Cheers
