It started out being a bit cliched, with characters we've seen in every other teen TV show (earnest poor guy, ruined princess, queen b***h, trust fund guys) but in the final 6 episodes of the season I think it found its feet and started taking some risks. Not as witty as the OC at its best, but enjoyable enough. Reminds me a bit of Young Americans, a short-lived Dawsons Creek spinoff that TV3 and Trouble show occasionally.
I still think Dan + Jennys dad is too young looking for the role though! But I like the Kirsten Bell (Veronica Mars) voiceovers for Gossip Girl. XOXO
