    Hello all,

getting married in December and wondering about seat covers.
To rent them is about 3.5 each but my OH was talking to someone and they reckon a lot of people buy them.
Taking that into account I was wondering what they do with them afterwards ?
Surely there's a good second hand market in them ? :D

    thanks,

Well the room is fairly basic looking so we thought we'd do this just to make it look a little better.

Actually getting married in a converted barn so a few seat covers aren't too much to ask I suppose :)

    Wow barn sounds cool.

But still, I agree with the other poster about seat covers. They are totally unnecessary and a waste of money in my opinion.

With weddings, people say oh you have to have this....but you don't!!!

If it's a barn I assume you rent chairs? Then rent nicer chairs. Then you wouldn't want to cover them.

No one notices seat covers. When everyone is sitting in their chair, you won't be able to see the covers.
Think about it, would you rather have that money to spend on your honeymoon or covering the seats???

Well they have weddings in the barn all the time but seats look a little old hence the covers.
Not a huge expense relatively speaking but said I'd throw it out there.
Ok so lets assume I am getting them and move on to helping me get some ;)

... Do you have that right? €3.50 each to rent?! Our venue told me some mentalist price when I originally booked so I immediately said no wuckin fay..

Im going to be meeting them in the morning to touch base as the wedding is next month, and Im going to bring it up. I admit, they would be a nice touch, but thats extortionate. I'm going down there by broom-stick tomorrow.. robbers.

Edit:// Asked to speak to someone different today, and I got a price of €5 each. Extortionate, imo.

think they're daft meself but they do give a great first impression. friend of mine bought them online from the U.S. no notion of the company though, worked out at €2 each. Mind you, €3.50 isn't bad, i was quoted up on €10 for them and that multiplied by 250+ guests ain't worth it!
