I read in one of the Athlone papers a while back that there was plans to open an activity/training centre on Hodson bay, beside the hotel, which would let people hire windsurfing equipment, canoes, boats and also learn how to sail/windsurf etc. I've seen the building where it was all supposed to happen but it isn't open yet. The newspaper had mentioned an opening date in April. Does anybody know when it will be open, if it ever will??

In the Westmeath today. Bear in mind though, it was some local councillor saying he wants it open next week, and if it's not he'll be getting onto the council again.
