    Any read about the new Irish champion today?

    Paul O'Hanlon from the curragh golf club won yesterday at belvoir park gc in belfast.

    He beat Daragh Lernihan from the Castle GC on 20th hole.

    One for the future???

    Have seen him quite a few times in major competition and he is a class act. Won the Mullingar Scratch Cup last year and is a regular at the top of all the Amateur majors.

    As for "star of the future", I have seen others that may have a greater chance.
