Hava my first ever job interview on Friday for a well-known sports shop. I was thinking of a black shirt, black slacks and a pair of shoes? Anyone see a problem with this? or want to give any advice on what to wear?

Ah I think a tie might over do it,it is a sports shop(no offence intended by that OP in case you think I'm slagging)so smart casual would be better!

Maybe put a light jumper over the shirt, so you don't look like you've just come from collecting glasses at the pub.

Gavin don't go for a black shirt/trousers combo, you'll look like a priest without the collar.

Dont wear a white shirt, You will look like a lounge boy.

Wear the black shirt if you can get a nice tie to go with it, a tie that has black and grey in it and you will be gorgeous ;)
