    Hi,

    Need an opinion or 3....

Im looking to lose approx 10lbs in the next 8 weeks due to hols. I have been lifting for 4 months and have put on a decent amount of muscle with some fat.

I have my diet in order to help me ahieve this but im debating wheather or not to take RAM after lifting or just a plain protein shake. My thoughts on this are that i think ill lose muscle if i dont replenish after lifting with RAM but im watching my kcals so i dont know if its worth the RAM or not. 2nd question is does HIIT (x2 week) waste muscle too? and if not what should i drink PWO bearing in mind query 1?

    Thanks in advance...

RAM has protein in it but it's main task over whey is to replenish muscle glycogen, not amino acids or "muscle". You can take just the whey and it won't cost you muscle.

Burning muscle is more about amino acid levels and total calories than anything, and if you up the amino acids during a time of lower calories it will do a lot to spare lean mass.

Maybe look into some BCAA's while in your deficit.

Could you recommend some BCAA's that are available in Ireland man? :pac:

LoL, better not, i might be accused of all kinds of things! lol

In all fairness i will always go for a value for money issues, just check the contents of each pill, vs pill quantity, vs price and go from there.

I always use Pro Lab and they did a perfect job for me.

I get mine in bulk from myprotein.co.uk, you can a get a kg of powder for next to nothing. I've been experimenting with pulse use during workouts ie 10gms pre/ 40gms during/ 10gms post plus pwo shake. Been getting encouraging results
