    So.............

I did my training in Mondello for the day,
    Bought a Honda Varadero 125
Got gear up North some of it,

And am now out on the roads, wahoooooo!!!

Just a quick note to say thanks to anyone that replied to a thread I threw up, its all appreciated and I am nowa bike commuter to work!!!!

Anyone got any tips for me? I am looking to get a few hours under my belt on it, then do another hour with Aidan from bike 2 bike in town as that is where I will be a bit,

Then the bikesafe course the gards do, then treat myself to something a little bigger once test is passed and all that,

    Anyway, thanks again to all

    GabGab, smiling like this :D:D

Well done, it only gets better from now on.
All you need now is a bike GPS (sorry :o;):o).

How much did it set you back and is it second hand?

Good stuff, keep up with the training. The more the better, itll pay for itself in the long run. But as far as I know the bikesafe course is just for people with a full license. It wasnt set up as a training course rather a way of showing lads who have been on bikes for years but havnt done training what they are doing wrong and then advising them to get training. Get plenty of time on the road too and most of all enjoy yerself with it, shouldnt be hard

I paid €3,000 for a 2005 with 10k and it is mint, my boss did trials for years and had a look at it for me, delighted, not quick but still enough to keep me nervous for a long time

I am getting a learner bib, just so people know that I am a capper and will maybe accept that I will be slow filtering etc,

Am going to book with Aidan this week another course, an hour across town, then do another weeks commute, then see availability of bikesafe,

They told me that provisional people welcome but I dont want to use up a free spot being a complete spanner rattling around with no confidence. Hopefully Aidan can show me and I can then get up to a decent level for the assessment,
