    Hi there,

I am new here and looking for some fashion advice if any of you can kindly spare it. I am mid thirties and have always been the "rock chick" type of girl and that's probably even flattering to me!! I normally carry a more casual look off fine, the sort of jeans, vest, kitten heeled ankle boots type look.
The thing is, I have an event coming up which will demand a slightly more polished look... can very much still be rock n' roll but not in a tatty way if you get it. I am just crap at this fashion thing though. And, not liking to wear dresses for the most part as the event demands that I am not self conscious, so I'm looking for a comfortable yet sophisticated if not a rather sexy look. A kind of Cheryl Crowe meets Shirley Manson from Garbage type of thing! Only thing is, I go around the shops and all I see is the sort of long vesty t-shirty things that just do nothing for me, need something a bit more fitted. I just haven't seen anything intersting in the main high street stores and wondered if any of you go in for that sort of look and are in the know where to go. If it's a more expensive outlet I don't mind as, as I said, it's a special occasion and I need to be done up a lot more than normal. Thanks if anyone can help! B

I always find that H&M have a real rocky vibe going on...

My friend bought a fabulous dress/vest there 3 weeks ago for only 12euro and she looked stunning.. Mind you, she has a fab figure and the dress set on her perfect...

She wore it with really strappy dominatrix black High heeled shoes from office and it was gorgeous.. Finished it off with a smokey eye and red lippy...

Funny enough I actually compared her to the girl from garbage that night coz she has real short bleach blonde hair..

Thanks for feedback - it's on the list as I am Dublin based. I find their stuff a bit hit and miss but sure, no harm giving it a go, thanks again.
