The choice has gotten much better over the years but there is still a distinct lack of good choices every night of the week at 3 or 4 in the morning.

What do you watch and is it on regularly? There's almost always an episode of House MD or CSI on some channel or other but it's all very random so far as I can tell. Quite often I find myself switching over to a DVD or the internet...to post on boards.ie of course, not to stream TV from the internet or anything...

Over here we have a free-to-air channel called SBS. Often from 11pm they show dodgy French subtitled soft pornos. It's great!

TBH I am mostly slowly creating a selection of old Doctor who, Mighty boosh and invader zim stuff so far. Barely watch telly at night...

Except for Zone horror. I love awful awful horror movies.

Jeremy Kyle show. Nothing like it, it's one of the funniest shows I've seen in years.

I am a massive [adult swim] fan. It's on every morning on Bravo from about 1 ish. It just has a load of silly cartoons really, one of them is great, they interview ''celebrities''... Give it a go!
Other than that, ya always get some great ol' programme like The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air or somethin' on Five U.S.
And More4 frequently show The I.T. Crowd early in the morn. (lets not forget 4od too)
And then there's the classics on DVD. Besides the aforementioned Doctor Who and The Mighty Boosh, I watch a lot of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace and Battlestar Galaactica late on

    Yes, yes I have.
A big +1 there, however un-PC it may be

    Sky+ saved tv for me.

To be honest i don't have tv any more, just download everything and the comp is hooked up to the big screen so all is groovy.

I remember that Paramount was normally good for a laugh, and if you flicked between the MTV's in the right order you could catch up to six South Parks in a row.:D

I always watch Street Wars on Sky1. It's great!

Paramount has been showing repeats of the Last Comic Standing usually starting at around three, or else South Park on MTV and Paramount-makes me glad I never watched it first time around, they're all new episodes for me!!

Night time TV is shit for me coz we don't have that many channels.
BBC3 sometimes have interesting documentaries about lapdancers, obsessive bodybuilders, teenagers addicted to porn etc.
Mostly I just either watch DVDs or the Music Channels (with a quick flick through the "grown up" channels :D)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,367 ✭✭✭✭watna

We have three channels here so we only use the tv for news really or theres this really awesome programme called police ten 7 which is like crimewatch except it's just drunk people (mostly maoris) commiting random stupid crimes and then getting arrested by police that are just laughing at them. It's seriously the funniest programme I have ever seen.

For late night viewing we have a 750GB hardrive that's hooked up to the tv so recently it's been futurama, family guy or flight of the conchords.

I miss MTV of 04/05 at night...some class shows used to be on.

Double Boiling Points...bit of Room Raiders...some nice music to close the day down.

That sounds great and all but on a certain P2P I can get the real deal, no frills attached.

Doesn't have the same comedic value though.

Watching House on the Hallmark channel at the moment... sheesh.. they show some sucky adverts.

3 Volumes of my favourite Australian soap arrived on DVD today... so I may watch some of that later.

I used to have that, loved the way you could slow down time and do that fancy jumping sideways, shooting with two guns thing. Excellent. :D

if there was decent late night tv, i woudlnt be sitting on boards, would i?! :P

though i used to babysit for my cousin, who had sky digital.. ie... kerrang!, scuzz, mtv2, Q, mtv (quite good in the middle of the night, less ads too), and vh1. i'd sit up and flick til my aunt got home about 3-6am, she could never believe i was still awake.

Our telly broke over a year ago, and we decided not to repair it. Good decision. Didn't miss it. Now we have a problem, having just moved. Our new "residence" has a built in telly, so I am wondering how long we can resist the temptation of worshiping the cyclops god.

We have a "Free-to-Air" satellite and we recently found E4 and More4. For the past couple of nights I've been watching classic episodes of ER (so much better than now) and also Countdown at like 3 or 4 in the morning! :D

My favourite worst TV is Linc's - without doubt the worst fckin show in existence - on Paramout Comedy - puts the whore in horrendous

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,957 ✭✭✭trout

sounds like my kind of show... not

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

Linc's is without doubt one of the worst show produced in the English speaking world. It invents new ways to be awful with every new episode.
This is one of the main reasons I don't regret pulling my eyes out.
