I was admitted to A&E over the weekend. Nothing serious, a simple superficial injury.
I don't want to go into too much detail except to say that i looked a mess. Complete mess.
    Hair everywhere/unflattering clothes/no make up/swollen face/red eyes..
    Complete mess.

So, typically, the doctor who tended my wounded and unkempt body was THE most devastatingly handsome guy in the building.

Needless to say, he has been on my mind.

He spent over half an hour with me (just chit chat as my wounds were superficial, as mentioned, and the nurse had done all the work anyway)

He was not wearing a wedding ring and he did mention he was single. Not that he was coming on to me or anything but it briefly came up in conversation. I know he was interested. Women know these things. Call it intuition or whatever. I did not respond in a similar fashion as i was in a lot of pain and there was a family member present some of the time, so i did not feel comfortable expressing my desire to close the curtain and pull him onto the bed.

Needless to say, i have been regretting it ever since.

What do i do now ?????

I want to see this guy again. But i don't want to have to be involved in a car crash or something to see him.

    Any suggestions...

Go for it, you never know unless you try..did you get his number or anything?.

You should get one of those nurses outfits from Ann Summers and go visit him in the hospital. Tell him your wounds are still sore and they need to be kissed better...:D

Are you sure that you not just attracted to the fact that he was a doctor rather than the handsome thing??

It's not unknown for patients to develop crushes on their doctors.

He is trained in bedside manner, and he obviously passed this part of his medical college with flying colours.

Not to sound harsh, but I'd say he doesn't even remember you, with the long hours he probably works, and the amount of people he has to see in a days work.

    Look at it this way.

Do you remember everything about your day's work for days after?

I think do it! Just make sure you are well prepared for what you get in return be it a yes or no!

What have you go to lose??

    What Des said.

He's a doctor. Look at it this way, think about the amount of people he meets every day. Now, do you think you're the most attractive/nicest/whatever person he has met on that day, and the days between? If not, do you think he'd be acting differently to the more attractive girls?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,578 ✭✭✭✭kowloon

Surrounded by beautiful, wealthy people from his own line of work who aren't oozing with diseased fluids or choking on their own vomit.
Why would he be interested in a peasant who, as the OP stated, was a mess?

Are you sure you couldn't have misread the signals? How do you know he is as interested as you say? He could have kept you chatting to make sure there was no sign of concussion for example. To be honest I'd advise against contacting him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,555 ✭✭✭✭AckwelFoley

Get a knife and stab yourself in the head with it.

You will get another priority visit to meet your handsome friend.

Bit harsh. Since when is it all about looks? Oh thats right, it isn't!

To the OP I think you should do something, I'm no expert as to what, but the thank you card sounds good, or pretend just 'pop in' to say thanks. You've nothing to loose by contacting him.

    Munchausen syndrome anyone?

I met a doctor in Beaumont, we looked into each others eyes, her gorgeous green eyes. I'd say she was mad turned on by me so I do. I can't wait to get my next eye infection.

Remember to apply injuries in the photo to reflect your condition at the time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭Princess Consuela Bananahammock

    Do you know his name?

If not, ask to see your medical records (as far as I know you're intitled to) that'll have his name on it.

Phonebook, ring hospital under false pretence (say your a cousin or somthing, or you need to ask a question about the medicine he pprescribed to you and it's kinda personal (you wimmins are supposed to be good at that too :D), if that doesn't work google him, and once you have contact be honest: you were in under genuine pretences, liked him, does he want to go for a coffee...?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

find the canteen at the hospital where he works, find out what time he takes his lunch.

then before he takes his lunch, go up to the nearest window off the corridor(most hospital canteens have big windows), and write in spittle.. a big love heart with your name and his in it (backwards).

then when hes sitting at the table eating lunch with all his doctor colleagues, run up to the window, rap really loudly on it and wave wildly, while breathing heavily on your "sekrit" sign.. thus revealing the cool hidden message, at the same time making gestures with a finger from one hand poking in and out of a "ring" shape on your other hand, making the ring shape between your thumb and first finger... simultanuously mouthing the words "i love you" !

    guarenteed to work!

    Stupendous advice Flanum.
    Problem ~
I wouldn't even ask a guy for his number.
Acting upon your suggestion would send me right back into A&E.
    During his lunch break.

BEANSTALK ~ Why didn't I think of that!!!! Arrrgggggggg..

PS ~ A lot of doctors around here...

    Ok, the thing is..

    you like him..

hes a guy.. so he rob likes you..

My advice.. send him a thank you card..

On the card, tell him you would like to buy him dinner,, leave your number on it.

If he replies.. you're in there.

    If not... watch porn.

Ok, you: 'Doctor, Doctor, help! I think I have an STD!!!!!'

Doctor: What do mean you have an STD?

You: 'I mean I have a Sexual Transaction Deficit...'

And if that doesn't work (i.e. he's not a total nerd), then vomit on your chest and ask him to clean it up for you.

tbh this isn't a bad idea. Except maybe dinner might turn him off a bit, maybe ask if he wants to get lunch with you or something... Hey it's either give it a go or never know what could'va happened.

    worse than my worst.
So i am not too sure how this is going to go..
I'll just have to send the note and see i suppose !!!

Make sure you give it to him in person! So he can see how hot you are and to make sure he remembers you!

Doing anything more than absolutely nothing is going to borderline psychopathic.

Think about it, if one of your customers did it to you you'd be freaked out. Also, what happens if it goes badly, think of the embarrassment you'd have to face walking into that hospital again.

Lol @ tracking him on myspace though.
