Ah hello, long time no chat. Good to hear you're back, I wouldn't mind a jam again, really want to get back into playing somewhat regularly again. Any other folks up for a j and b jam?

hey, yea its been a while -great to hear you're up for a jam if you know any guitarists and/or bassist they'd be useful, but i was in London at the weekend and saw a tenor player busking with two prcussionist - it actually sounded really cool,so..
I know a couple of guitarists and bassists but none with a solid grounding in jazz, but it might be worth a jam with them also

Well I know a double bass player and a piano who'd be up for a jam. Sure we could play a bit of blues aswell, why not. Anyone else up for it?

Any developements on this, I wonder? If not, would anyone have suggestions on how to get back playing after many, many years hiatus?

Ah I'd love to go along for a jam but it feels like I've not played in years much like jamieev mind you I'm only in the early 20's. Is there any bars in town that have blues nights ?

If you are in Dublin you could try the "Blue Goose" pub on Ormonde Quay (just past the Four Courts). They have an open jam session every Monday night starting at 10.00 pm. with all musicians welcome. Just bring your instrument.

Alan Dunne 27 : JJ Smiths on Aungier St have an open blues jam on the 1st Monday or Tuesday (cant remember which) of each month.

You could send them an email : info@jjsmiths.com

    Hi Som,
I posted a thread looking for a drummer yesterday.
We're a Soutrh dublin based blues band, nothing too serious, just jam and have a bit of craic and maybe play the odd gig now and again.
Purely for the love of the music.

Let me know if you'd be interested...

    Hi Guys,

Just wondering if any of you would know of a big band type set up that would play in Dublin and that would be cool with someone coming along for rehersals etc.?

I'm an alto sax player, used to play for a big band in Galway and looking for something similar in Dublin.

And if you guys get a jam together I'd love to join in

Hey guys, sorry bout the delay again. I've been talking to Som, and a place I usually have had access to (which had a kit/nice electric piano - and was free) is temporarily unavailable. So if we can find a nice place to ahve a jam we'll definitely go for it. More news as it happens, keep an eye on this thread.

    Thanks folks.
