oil stain on tarmac

    anybody know if it's poss to remove prolonged oil stain on tarmacadam?
    any suggestions welcome.

    Very difficult to do if it's been there a long time and soaked in.

    You can try making a thick paste with biological washing powder and a little water, leave it in place for a few days then power wash off.

    In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

    only problem with trying to clean it with detergents is that it
    breaks down the binders in the tarmac.


    yer damned if you do etc etc!

    Washing up liquid is normally very good. Depends on how long its there.

    acid will remove it but could damage the tar also
