I love being bought chocolates, but being single, have not got the opportunity much these days.

Anyway, I like the Lily O'Briens ones, and the old favourites Roses too.

I hate Roses, my favourite chocolate is the plain Cadbury chocolate. At Christmas I buy a box of Quality Street or Celebrations.

I don't like getting chocolates as a gift at all but I'd recommend Butlers chocolates.

Not much into candy or desserts, but it's really hard for me to resist large, fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate!

OMG..Please send some to me asap and I will personally spearhead the campaign to get it introduced here. What have irish people got against cherries anyway? Am i the only person who loves them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,766 ✭✭✭Reku

Think they used to have that in some of the shops in my area Crumble, but over the years Cadburys has been cutting back their selection in Ireland to just focus on the big sellers (hence why we all had to say farewell to wispas).:(

But anyone, really wanting to try one:
    http://www.cybercandy.co.uk/aaasmt/index.php/url_indprod/xlc_2086/Cadburys%20Black%20Forest.html
They will deliver to countries in the EU.:)

:eek:Damn but those bars are expensive... €1.62 a bar... better be the bigger ones and not the little 53g ones...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 600 ✭✭✭PurplePrincess

It's 7.99 shipping to Ireland for one bar:eek: Prob be cheaper to fly over and buy a box.

    Jeebus, didn't see that!

Probably best for the LL regulars who want some to go together on a case so or something.

Rocky Road dairy milk chocolate with marshmallows, cherry flavoured jellies, peanuts and coconut.

these would be incredibly awesome if they could only get rid of the feckin peanuts.
    cadbury-rocky-road-1.jpg

    and of course... pineapple lumps.

anyone ever tried chez emily chocolates?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,325 ✭✭✭b3t4

    Where do I start hmmmmm

Butlers (I got a HUGE box from friends for my 21st Oh the joy)
Leonidas (heavenly rich. Hard to get in Dublin)
    Milk Tray
Roses (bar the coffee ones I hate coffee)
    Lilly O'Briens
    Hero's (they still around?)
    Celebrations (particularly the malteser ones)
Lindt has such a smooth texture to it
I adore Green and Blacks chocolate Even the thought of it delights me. Fair trade and delicious, what more does one need? The hot chocolate is to die for as well. I've also heard they have ice-cream as well but I'm not actually a big chocolate ice-cream fan. (The last part is shocking isn't it haha)
Since moving to NZ I've developed a strange fondness to pineapple lumps. Those kiwi's are doing things to my brain, I tell's ya :)

    Ummm it's a good thing I started running else I'd be a HUGE :)

    Chocolate is gooooooooooooood

    A

Me too. After christmas it's great going over to people's homes and being begged to take away the dregs of the box, with the yummy foil wrapped goodies that they all dislike. :pac::pac::pac:

Well then the best I can wish you is a quick death!:D

Chocolate substitutes are horrible, the devils $hite. I eat the proper stuff.
The Leonidas Praline yokies, the ones in the gold wrapper are nice.

Easter eggs always taste nicer too.

    LIR... yummy.

Galaxy with caramelised and roast hazelnuts.

    Plain Dairymilk.

Marks and Spencers bars with the freezedried raspberries - although they appear to have vanished off the face of the earth.

    I love toffee and caramels.

White chocolate is the work of the devil. It is the sweepings off the floor after they finish making real chocolate and does not deserve to have the name chocolate associated with it. :p
