Any idea of how i might get my a*s on a ferry to Plymouth to collect my new purchase? The only online quotes are for overnight services for €100s and I can't drive it on UK roads?

Holyhead is too far for him as he is going to deliver it to a nearby port.

Don't understand. Why can't you drive it on UK roads? Plymouth isn't served by any irish ferry company to the best of my knowledge. WHy not pick up elsewhere and drive to Fishguard or Holyhead urself, thats the simple way to do it.

Fishguard is the closest you can get I think.

If you can drive on Irish roads then you can drive on UK roads, unless the car has no UK tax. In which case just show the cops the ferry booking if you're stopped.

Bang on- it's not a car, it's a bike and I'm on a learner's permit. I knew the car section is more frequented so that's why I'm asking here, where there have been many UK car trips.

Rent a transit for the day and drive over and back? You'd fit 2 bikes in if you wanted :p

I could actually borrow a van from work but i might be in for a hell of a spin especially if it's from Holyhead.
