    Hey,
Any suggestions on where I could buy the Nikon D80 at a good price? Looked around eBay Ireland and found none.

    Thanks.

check jessops, dl kirkpatrick and calumet in Northern Ireland, very competitive exchange rates makes them being almost the same as non-eu cameras (and with local warranty)

Dixons tax free if you are going to be passing through any UK airports in the next while.

I bought a D80 for €576 (body only) from Komplett on the 8th of May 2008. I know this sounds nuts and I'm trying to establish just how Komplett was able to do this.

The camera is genuine, coming from Nikon in the Netherlands, complete with stamped warranty documents. I bought the last one in stock and have been checking every now and again to see if it reappears on the site. But no. For the price, I would certainly be making enquiries with Komplett to see whether they intend getting stocks again.

Given the unexpected bargin, I stuck by my own rule (which is: Save on the body - invest in the glass) and bought the 18-200 ED VR Nikkor Zoom (€690 also from Komplett) as the D80s travelling buddy. Absolutely no complaints on the quality, practicality, and usefulness of this combination.

And before anyone thinks I'm recommending Komplett for all things Nikon - forget it! Just check their prices on Nikon kit - They're prices are higher than my local specialised camera store. My purchase was just me getting lucky. :)
