I'm looking for some Non Gym Bodyweight exercises to do as I start to train this summer to get lean and fit.

I am investing in Dumbells and other small things after my exams!

Other than, Pull-ups, Push ups, Press-ups,lunges abdominal excersises what Non Gym Bodyweight exercises do YOU recommend? And I hear of bodyweight squats, I used to do squats with weights (provided by my school gym when I used to play rugby) on my shoulders but how do you do them otherwise?

    Any tips appreciated!;)

Lots of ways to squat. Bodyweight: hold hands behind head (prisoner squat) or straight over head. Squat on one leg (place other leg on step or chair behind you). Or stand on a chair with a foot over the edge, and squat down.

With weights, you can hold a dumbell in each hand hanging at your side, or crossed at your shoulder level, or out in front of you (goblin squat). You can also hold them over your head and squat, this is harder.

Stiffleg deadlifts are great for hams and gluts. Also Good Mornings which are good if you don't have heavy weights. One arm rows for back. Pull backs are a good home substitute for lat pulls. Or better still, pull-ups. If you can't do a full one, put a brush handle across two chairs, hang down below it, with your body in a straight line and pull up. Put your feet on a chair when you get good.

Woodchopper is a great whole body exercise that works with a moderate dumbbell. Also plank, crunch and weighted crunch, bird dog and hyperextensions over a stool. Dips and press-ups with hands close to body for triceps.

    Press-ups, normal, incline and decline.

Clean and press. Explosive lifts (clap hands during pressups, jump at top of squats etc).
