What do people think of the tents that are on offer in Aldi?
Do you have much experience putting them up, how easy is it and overall how do you rate the tent?

Well it has an inner and an outer layer so it's better than the ones Lidl were doing anyway...

Must say that Aldi stuff is usually reliable, and for €119 you can't really go too wrong?

Argos have a sale on at the moment with camping gear and tents - might be worth looking there for a better bargain. Check the 'mm' coverage..

€12! Thats ridiculously cheap. Probably getting what you pay for, but it'd do the job for ox3gen, only gonna get destroyed anyway. Thanks, I'l check it out

got that tent in aldi last week, 4 of us using it this weekend, it huge if thats what youre worried about, i could stand in the middle with about a foot over me, i dont have much experience with tents, just read the instructions, took me about 45mins to put this up on my own, havent actually slept in it yet but from the looks of it its pretty sturdy and keeps the rain out

they are ****, if it rains the water will penetrate the shell and collect on the ground sheet. if it gets too hot the condensation will collect on the inner wall, roll down and collect on the ground sheet. you'd be better joining forces with a few friends and buying a half decent one.

I'd say it's about the sticky at the top of every forum, ''In light of legal proceedings issued by...''

It has 4000mm water column which will definitely keep you nice and dry. Looks pretty good otherwise too.

Just adding that Tescos are doing 2 man for 20 euro and 4 man for 30 euro tents. Couldn't tell you anything about the quality, didn't buy one.

    Just bought one

Looks good in the sun ;)

Two rooms, first big enough for 2 adults + 2 kids to sleep in, second big enough for storage, or one person sleeping.

has anyone tried it (in the rain) yet?

I got the dunne stores 2 man tents, 2 of them for €15 each. Must say, you get what you pay for. The inside walls are always wet, rain goes through them, and they're tiny.

Having said that, they did the job for four of us at the festival which cannot be named...
