Tomatoes are high in vitamin C.

Are these included in the, "eat as much as you want" category of vegetables?
because I love the Sweet intense British santini tomatoes from Marks and Spencers!! There dellish!

Dont know much about the 'categories' but tomatoes have great health benefits, anti carcenogen and lots more. I'm growing my own at the moment, got them in lidl only thing is they are not growing fast enough for my consumption. Just choped some with onion, garlic drizle of olive oil on french bread under grill, added cheese, herbs totally satisfying, too good to have guilty feelings bout the carbs...

No... but only because they're technically a fruit. But yes you can eat as much as you want of them :)

I love tomatoes, especially the M&S ones, but I've cut right back because I was spending a fortune (not to mention what I was spending on bags of salad every week ). I've started growing them myself - hello credit crunch :D - but am having to be verrrry patient waiting for them to grow. In the meantime I bought a tomato plant in lidl that already had fruit on it. I get a few off that every week but I supplement my dangerous addiction with a punnet from Lidl once a week as well.

I agree that hairymolly's suggestion sounds fantastic!

Just a quick point that you have to cook the tomatoes to get the maximum nutritional benefit :)
