Epoxy resin for cratfts - where to get?

    Does anyone know where I might get epoxy reisn for making jewellery in Itreland, or a site that would suply it to Ireland? I frequent craftster.org a lot, and it seems to be freely available in America, but I can't find any sites that will supply me....either they won't ship to Ireland, or it's 100L of epoxy for construction and such.

    i bought some 2-ton epoxy resin from a seller in the uk on ebay.

    Resin and hardener are high class toxic goods, and shipping has got difficult and expensive recently under new laws.

    The 2-ton epoxy is a half hour set time epoxy glue with the consistency of treacle, or jam. So it would be unsuitable for coating objects with detail, as bubbles will not be enabled to escape, and messing the final appearance.

    Laminating (fibreglassing) resins are more liquid (low viscosity) and clearer.

    The resins specially designed for casting fine detailed objects are even thinner, and are mixed in vacuum for minimum air content. These are crystal clear.
    Often the laminating resins are ok.

    They would have a 2-part epoxy glue similar to 2-ton devcon but I would try the faster variety first.
    If I really wanted to use a highly viscous glue I would first thin the mixture down with methanol (totally clear), or white spirit (almost totally clear). This would thin it, but would slow the hardening process too. So it might be good idea to start with 5 minute epoxy glue, since the thinning agent will slow this to a longer period. If you use a glue that is. The proper resins would produce a less hassle better job I would think.
