C & C stitching

The sky is great, as are the mountains.. I don't care much for the concrete to the bottom left.. nor the white warehouse/building mid-left.. so 2/3's are great imo but foreground lacks interest?....

Thanks for that Yogi. 1st attempt, so lots of mistakes.:o I've cropped the concrete from it, but can't do much with the warehouse. The range of the mountains is, I believe, 10 - 16 miles, so you have to pull back quite a bit!:)

The stitching, although I've only attempted it once myself, looks good though.. There's a very light line left of middle in the sky, but it's not obviously stitching and it may not even be.. :)
(I know it's frowned upon but clone tool on photoshop would get rid of ugly white warehouse!)

For a first attempt at the subject it's pretty impressive.
There's a little suspect darker band about 3/4 of the way down on the right. Might be something innocent, but when you're told it's stitched, the first thing you do is look for 'joins'. You'll only get better if you keep at it! Very good first attempt!

For the next time: Would have liked to see more of he foreground, perhaps with some interest in in (wildlife, etc). It might help bring it to life! It might not, but worth a go!

Looks good to me, not an easy thing to get right, especially with the sky as it was, well done.

As a matter of interest, what software did you use or is it done by hand?

Looks good, the shots a little dark. I can only see one little bit of a seem in the stitch. Great for a first attempt :) (especially if it was done manually)

Was the camera on auto (AP, SP, etc.)?

Many thanks for the feedback everyone.:) In response to your queries:

    * Camera (Eos 450D) in Manual mode.

    * Settings: f/22; shutter 1/50; iso 400; tripod mounted; Tokina 12-24 lens; total photos stitched: 3.

    * Software: Canon Photostitch (supplied with camera). Here it is
    Thanks again.

    Cheers,

    Freddie.

Believe it or not - I was thinking the very same! But I thought presenting it in it's raw mode (I know it's a jpeg - turn of phrase) would result in me picking up better tips around here!:)

If you have time try running the same three files through autostitch, and see which output you prefer.

Gonna head up around the mountains during the week. Missed a good opportunity last night of an excellent sunset over the mountain tops. Damn narrow country lanes!!!

I took those around 8:00am Ken. Couldn't sleep - so headed up. Hardly anyone around - or any traffic. They are my favourite place in the world.:)
