    Hello all
I have a Sony Ericsson K800i and i really want to turn off the sound of the camera when i take a pic. This used to be possible on my older SE model just by putting the phone on silent. But with this model it doesnt work.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance
    DG

If you've put in silent mode(hold down #) and it hasn't disabled it,then you may be stuck.Alot of new phones manufactured in certain regions have to have this shutter sound for legal reasons apparently..

An old workaround was to dial an 1800 number and then go into the camera while on the call. Of course, you're probably doing some organisation out of money while doing that. You could dial 1741 or 171 if it's free on your handset too.
