It's almost here, that rare event that only happens once every 4 years, where each time it rolls around we have less hair and bigger guts. And yet we still have to listen to the wimmin moan, you'd think it was on every month if you were to listen to them

So brothers, how will you be enjoying this event? And do ye have any special tips?

I shall be stocking up the fridge with good beer, putting up the feet on couch for the earlier rounds. Will be hitting the fan miles for the Germany games and as the tournament hits the later stages I shall be moving my camp to the local bars. There will be some BBQ's purchased for some good nourishment between games. As for herself, I've actually managed to turn her into a bit of a football fan, so all is good on that front once Germany keep progressing :)

Generalise why dont you. Oh I watch the matches alright. You honestly think the women arent watching, go forth to the male appreciation thread in TLL.. they are watching alright.

But I watch. Because I like it when the Irish score, understand the need for other teams to lose because we might have them in the next round, by jove I get the off-side rule.. I've become a student of the beautiful game and the pub psychology that runs with it. Because, when you are telling each other that the team was robbed at half-time, or what a fuggin actor --- -- player was.. Im face-sucking with your friend out the back.

    OoOh the evuls.

^^ That was for reaction. Im looking forward to it, and Im a regular at the bar :) Atmosphere is tops.

Well there will be no need for you to watch Euro 2008 so.

And sorry for taking that quote out of context. :p

I do like being able to utter the words "I'm off to the pub to watch the football" every day.

Mind you, games like Austria v Poland don't exactly set the pulse racing.
