OK I've been researching a set-up for my PS3, as some of you may know from some of my other threads.

    My current proposed set-up is
Now I have one more question, a HDMI connection between my PS3 and TV, what would any of you recommend and does the qualtiy of the wire make much difference?

    Thanks for any input.
    Cheers
HDMI is digital so quality of cable wont matter, ie a €10 one will be the same as a €90 one so don't spend too much money on one

while the better cable won't get you any better quality the cheap ones may deteriorate over time if not protected just don't spend over €20 for 2m or under 5m for about €25

gold plated with oxygen free copper and a nice bit of plastic for effect

Can we PLEASE have a sticky regarding these threads.

It can be a PS FAQ!!!

It can be a technology FAQ.

HDMI cables all perform the same over relatively short (<25m) distances.

IIRC, only a fool spends more than 5% of their budget on cables.

yeh the cheapest one you can get tbh.

although make sure you get a good length as i'm guessing if your tv is on the wall you're ps3 will be a good bit away.

I hope you are joking as that a load of bullcrap!
HDMI cable from Tesco or Lidl will give same signal quality as one from rip-off merchant Monster Cables.

Thats physically & electrically impossible. A HDMI cable sends digital signal of 1 & 0 and TV recieves said signal of 1 & 0 and displays signal perfectly as sent.
No difference in sharpness, colour reproduction, quality, etc..

You are either a troll or a Monster schill. Nice first 4 posts on boards.ie

Incorrect again. If quality was lost, you would have no signal at all. If you have digital signal of 1,0 and lose quality (drop 1, 0), you would have no signal or very very large blocks appearing on screen.

Once again you have shown you don't have a clue.
