Any one any ideas on how much you should charge to setup the following.

    Register a domain,
Create 3 user accounts using google apps
Configure email on users desktop so gmail is accessible
Configure blackberries for users so they can receive mail from gmail.

Its only an hours work but it’s the 1st time I have done a nixer like this.

    Cheers

One and a half BJs (hey you posted in AH)

50 euro sounds good to me, seems to me you helped a company and not a friend

To be honest, you'd atleast want to quote it as a few hours work, cause you will be plagued by questions / problems for the next 12 months (trust me you will), eg people who don't know how to use email or their blackberry etc...

It might be the hardest €100 you've ever made ;)

I gave away & setup a number of newish PC's to people for free, they all did and do work fine... I still get questions to this day about them!

Yeah, my neighbour still rings me for everything. Mind, I get a case of beer each time so that's a win-win :D

Yeah OP its well known fact if you are foolish enough to do an IT nixer the people you do it for think your free IT support for the rest of your life

    work for nothing, always busy

if its for a friend then nothing but make it clear that you charge €50 euro an hour for support thereafter

Your under cutting yourself at €50 make it at least a hundred.

    Register a domain 5 minutes
Create 3 user accounts using google apps 10 minutes
Configure email on users desktop so gmail is accessible 5 minutes
Configure blackberries for users so they can receive mail from gmail. 10 minutes

Hmmm, I'd still charge €100 though indicating that I'd be available for help afterwards.

Use the same system plumbers, electricians etc, use.

standard call out rate of €80 I believe and then charge for the work on top of that.

I'd say €130 would be very fair.
