Is it a plain black suit? Does it have pinstripes? If so, what colour are the pinstripes?

I'm always a fan of a real dark red, blood red almost, and red and black are always a good combo....

Or a cream colour or something...

I don't know, what you asking me for!? :)

Just not white, it'll look like you're going to a funeral..

Oh, and tieless ftw, it's soo cool and casual, although some of the older folk there might not think so.

Good quality cream shirt - tie optional. If you're not going for a tie, just make sure that the rest looks good.

What's your colouring like? If you're dark-haired, then you can opt for a strong monochrome tie.

No tie, blue shirt, top bottom open for me. Works everytime.

As dudara points out, it depends on your colouring.

Really dark-skinned guys look great in girly colours like pink, and also in maroon and French navy and the like. But if you have a nice pink Irish face, avoid these colours and go for cream or pale blue.

I'm also interested in seeing the guy with his top bottom open. Where will he be on view?

Don't listen to any of this red shirt rubbish, you'll look like a plank. Its a christening to you don't have to wear a tie but get a blue shirt. You can then work anything thing around that blue stripe whatever.

    Its a christening?
    Simple solution so..
    Pink for a girl
    Blue for a boy

    :D:D:D

Honestly, all joking aside either would do just fine though

Yeah I think baby pink with a black suit looks lovely. Disregard suggestion of blood red/burgandy shirt, you would look like a plank.

See the prob with that is there is a baby girl and boy to be baptised,so i cant see a blue and pink shirt looking too good.I went for a blue shirt in the end.
