Went to Milan for 4 days Sept. 2006. Not much to do there at all . We stayed in the Star Hotel Anderson across from the train station which was a lovely hotel and as it was so close to the train station we just headed off each day. Lake Como is lovely. You can walk through the exclusive shopping areas but not much else going on.

Milans not a great tourist city tbh.I think u are going out of the football season so catching a game at the San Siro isn't possible.

But one good thing Milan has is Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, an incredible piece of work. You'd want to book tickets asap tho', I was there last year and it was booked up for 5 weeks solid. I didn't have a booking and only got in cause I flashed a media card otherwise Id have been left disappointed.

There's also a world famous opera house in Milan, the http://www.teatroallascala.org/ There should be shows going on there most nights, it wont be cheap but a night at an Italian opera is a good experience.
