Which colours do you find the most pleasing when taking a photo?

I find my preferences seem to change with the seasons and depend on the light levels.

Also, some colours seem more fashionable than others.

I don't think i've got a favourite colour. Mostly I look for how well colours go together. Ie.. Blue & Yellow etc...

I've always liked the mystery of the darker shades of blue as night falls and everythings starts to turn black........ black...... black .... BLACK..... BLACK !!

In real - yes, black is nice. I like black in my pictures. Or high-key white. Well, shades of gray :-)

The color blue has a calming effect. It causes the brain to release calming hormones.

I have a high percentage of lilac shots, when it comes to flowers. But every time i shoot something yellow it seems, when i come to process it i go 'yeuch' and delete it in the end.

I tend to like saturated colours at the moment, though notice that a high percentage of my photos for the past few months included quite a lot of grey, probably reflecting the light out of doors.http://www.flickr.com/photos/anouilh/2560031671/

I like red, green, blue... other red-y colours like wine, pink, purple..
yellow is ok but I find it impossible to take nice photos of buttercups... so not really yellow really.. I do not like navy. It's the mankiest colour they never bothered to darken up to black.

When choosing colour schemes for planting, I used have to be reminded to add more yellow and for years I had an aversion to orange, except when it was muted with soft brown tones.

This is reflected in the Flickr photo stream which tends towards blues, greens and violets.

Breaking out of personal tastes in colour choice is one way of extending one's range, perhaps?
